{"id":1269,"date":"2020-04-02T12:50:50","date_gmt":"2020-04-02T12:50:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.growingrevolution.com\/?p=1269"},"modified":"2020-04-02T12:50:50","modified_gmt":"2020-04-02T12:50:50","slug":"courtyard-gardens","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/growingrevolution.a1.bc-staging.com\/home\/2020\/04\/courtyard-gardens\/","title":{"rendered":"Courtyard Gardens"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When Steven and Harvey bought their new apartment in London\u2019s trendy east end, they were surprised to learn the developer had included a living wall in the plans. \u201cIt was great\u201d said Steve, \u201cthey hadn\u2019t settled on a design at that stage so Harvey and I were able to get the design we both wanted.\u00a0 I wanted edible plants and herbs and Harvey just wanted greenery\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1236 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.growingrevolution.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Easiwall-with-Mirror-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/>\n<p>There\u2019s no doubt the vertical garden makes a statement and this lush, stylish addition has transformed what would otherwise be just a dull brick and concrete internal patio into a much admired living space. Music video producer Harvey said, \u201cWe think it\u2019s great, to us it\u2019s just a room without a roof and just as much a part of our home as the space inside \u2013 an extra room if you like.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2018It\u2019s really easy to maintain and if we want to change the plants around for a bit for added colour or different texture, it\u2019s really easy to swap plants around \u2013 almost like Lego bricks, just pop them in\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>When asked what visitors think of the wall Harvey confessed; \u2018We are a bit like proud parents showing off their child, we are loving all the great comments\u2019.<\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1199\" src=\"https:\/\/www.growingrevolution.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/P1000811-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr\">\u2018Having moved from the outskirts to urban centre, we still wanted to be able to appreciate nature and greenery and our fantastic wall allows us to do that.
