Biotecture were approached by real estate investment manager Boreal IM. They had a newbuild data centre in Dagenham they were looking to green up. Biotecture visited site and suggested a number of green wall options that would meet their aspirations in a cost-effective way. The end result is a series of PlantBlox living walls that improve the building’s aesthetics, will improve local biodiversity and help meet the client’s sustainability goals.
The project also includes an integrated rainwater harvesting system which feeds into the irrigation system. This will be supplemented by mains water when required.
